Books to Inspire You to Travel

Books have inspired me in so many ways. Not just to try to write my own stories or to use writing as a means of expressing myself, but as I mentioned in a previous post, my love for travel was born out of my love for books.

I have compiled here some of my most favourite books (as much as I can remember them) that pertain to travel, either because they were set in a different country or are about travelling because the characters go travelling or are set in a different world. It is by no means encompassing, and I know that the other so-labeled travel novels are not here (such as The Alchemist by Paolo Coelho and The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants by Ann Brashares) but I plan to add as I read or as I remember them, and I would love it if you could share books that you've read or that have inspired you to travel in the comments section.
